Legionella (urine antigen) test

This test helps you detect Legionella bacteria in urine – a common cause of serious respiratory infections such as Legionnaires' disease. The bacterium is spread through aerosols from water sources such as showers, hot tubs or humidifiers. Early detection is important to enable prompt treatment and avoid complications.

📌 Intended use

A Legionella infection can cause symptoms such as fever, muscle pain, a dry cough, flu-like complaints, headache and fatigue. The test is particularly recommended for respiratory symptoms following contact with potentially contaminated water sources.

⚠️ Important information

Thank you for using one of our home tests. The result you are holding is a valuable starting point for understanding more about your own health. It is important to remember, however, that a self-test is a guiding tool, not a final diagnosis. A complete medical assessment can only be made by a doctor or other authorised healthcare professional. We therefore strongly recommend that you bring the result to your doctor for a conversation. Your doctor can view it in the context of your overall health and give you the best guidance going forward. NordicDx accepts no responsibility for interpretations or actions taken without professional medical advice. Our aim is to give you insight, so that you can take the next, right steps for your health together with the healthcare system.

Important

Rapid tests are medical devices for in vitro diagnostics. Follow the instructions for use carefully. The result is not a medical diagnosis — consult your doctor or a healthcare professional if you have concerns or need further evaluation. Store in a dry place and out of reach of children.
