We are pleased to announce that NordicDx AS has achieved an extension of our accreditation under NS-EN ISO 15189. Effective 4 November 2025, the Norwegian Accreditation Board has approved flexible accreditation scope for our measurement principles and analytical platforms in medical microbiology (M16), specifically for viral analyses from body fluids.
This is a natural continuation of our ISO certification journey and represents an important step in our commitment to quality, innovation and targeted diagnostics.
What does flexible accreditation scope mean?
Flexible accreditation scope gives us the ability to adapt and expand our accredited activities within defined frameworks – without prior approval for each individual change.
In practice, NordicDx can now:
- Implement new viral analyses faster when clinical needs arise
- Adapt analytical methods to new technological platforms
- Maintain the highest quality standards through our robust quality management system
All within our accredited framework, with full documentation, validation and quality control. Flexible scope is in line with international guidelines from EA and ILAC, which strengthens our credibility and opens for international collaboration.
Strategic potential: the One Health perspective
The flexible accreditation scope underpins our ability to develop high-quality diagnostic methods – regardless of application area. This proven expertise in method development and quality assurance can be adapted to other diagnostic areas such as animal and fish health diagnostics.
We are therefore in a position to develop tailored diagnostic systems for customers in a OneHealth perspective – where human, animal and fish health are viewed in context.
The road ahead
With flexible accreditation scope, we are better equipped to meet future diagnostic challenges. We continue to invest in new technologies, expand expertise, collaborate with partners across human, animal and fish health, and develop innovative solutions.
